May 19th: Doncaster
6f Auction |
Made solid price at the Tattersalls December sales but well below his unraced
half brother diid in 2003.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 71 and a slightly above average chance
of being a 2yo winner. Small, some length and slightly weak behind but
an okish 2yo type.
Third season sire made excellent start in 2003 with 2yos with a lot of
winners and plenty of quality. 2004 was a real step back with less
runners and just 7 average to moderate winners. 2005 likely to be closer
to 2004 than 2003.
Sire ok for 6f and winners tend to be from May onwards and has a poor debut
win record. He has made a poor start to 2005.
Dam has a mixed pedigree and is related to one Listed sprint winner.
Trainer does not target debut wins and only the useful+ types tend to win
FTO. As a general rule his average runners improve around 12-16lb from
debut and tend to finish in the 4th-7th range if they have ability.
In summary likely to be an 70-75 rated 2yo sprinter and below that on debut.
