5f Maiden Fillies' |
Sold for low price at the 'cheaper' Tattersalls part 2 sales.
Sire has ordinary 2yo record and does not get 5f winners, early winners,
nor debut winners. In the wrong race on sire profile. However he has had
the Brocklesby 3rd in 2005 but that runner has got into two 5f races late
on.
Dam has produced two minor 5f 2yos including a FTO winner.
Trainer has had a decrease in 2yos in 2003-4 and those he has tend to be
cheaply bought and make early debuts.
Most runners tend to be competent on debut and within 5-8lbs of their final
rating.
He has not had a FTO winner since 2000 but the moderate types he has that
are capable of a win usually show up on debut and can place. He has had
the volunteer second in this race at 50/1 in 2003 for example.
In summary a mixed pedigree that should be ok for this stiff, uphill 5f.
Likely to be ready to run close to her best on debut. Profile [56]

5f Maiden |
6/1 and travelled 4 wide in the second group. Made progress in the straight
and finished quite well but a low level of form and a slow run.
Estimate [52]
The form of her debut was poor (probably over-rated) and the 1st and fourth
from the race have both competed moderately since. Unlikely to be quick
enough for this race and moderate improvement. Profile [56]

10/1 at Chester in a race with a very strong pace. Driven early and outpaced
by the 3 strong pacesetters but in 4th early although 4L off the pace after
1F and 5L at halfway. Slight progress 1.5F out as the pacesetters slowed
but faded in the last furlong. Estimate [48]
Steps up to 6f. Profile [50 + 6 = 56]
