May 2nd: Newcastle 5f Auction	Made low price at Doncaster October sales. Sire has mixed 2yo record. 5f and early season winners are rare, probably needs good dam help to get that type of runner. Had 5f winner in 2004 but she was useful & developed over 6f+. Older dam showed moderate form over 5-8f. She has produced a range of types from a useful 5f 2yo to NH bumper winners. Trainer has moderate to average 2yo record and debut runs are rarely competitive although moderate runners can be within 10lbs of final rating on debut. Trainer has had one runner that has shown some form in 2005 and he was inexperienced on debut. All five debuts have been to poor ratings. In summary likely to be a moderate sprinter at best and a moderate start here. Profile [37 - 2 = 35]
May 16th: Edinburgh 5f Auction	12/1 on debut in a weak race ridden by a 3lb apprentice. Prominent early (not unusual for a trainer debut) but under pressure and 2 lengths off the pace at halfway. A bad fade from there. Estimate [12] A poor run on debut and the quality of that race looks worse even than the low rating given the poor efforts from the runners who finished in front of him. Trainer's better 2yos can show marked improvement from poor debuts but this is unlikly to be one of them. Profile [25 + 6 =31]
