June 2nd: Sandown
5f Auction |
Made a lowish to middling price at the Tattersalls December sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 56. Lengthy and physically immature. A
moderate mover behind.
By second season sire who had 5 moderate to average winners in first season,
only one at 5f although two early runners showed 60s form over 5f. He has
had seven runners so far in 2005 and similar hints that runners will be
better for 6f than 5f.
Dam was an example of a cheaply bought filly that turned into a precocious
and useful sprint 2yo. She then did not show great development and struggled
at 3yo. Her previous foal did not race at 2yo and cost 10 times as much
as this one.
Trainer has below average record overall with average 2yos and most wins
have been with the useful 2yos he has trained.
Debuts tend to be close to best rating although earliest debuts can be
more inexperienced. Has had six runners in 2005 two of which have placed
in poor to moderate, early season, races on debut (one showed no improvement
STO).
In summary a poor physical type at the sales. Trainer's latest debuts have
either not been as forward as usual or have been poor types. Profile
[46 + 12 = 58]
