April 26th: Bath
5f Auction |
Made lowish to middling price at Doncaster St Leger sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 64 and a below average chance of being
a competitive 2yo at his level. Neat and medium build but a notably short
mover behind.
Second season sire made good start in 2004 with a good number of winners
and some with quality. The better types developed through season. Got winners
between 5-7f but better record at 6f and only one winner before May 21.
Dam has quite a stout pedigree and won over 10f at 3yo. She has produced
on 60s rated 2yo who made a similar price at the sales.
Smaller trainer had an increased number of 2yos in 2004. Although they
started at long SPs they tended to be competent and close to final rating
on debut including two that made the first four.
In summary likely to be capable of ratting into the low 60s and reasonably
competent today. Profile [54]

5.7f Maiden |
66/1 at Bath in a race run on soft where the field cam to the stands' side.
Within 2L of the solid pace at halfway before being slightly outpaced 2F
out and then a fade. Finished 7th and a solid debut and typical for the
trainer. Estimate [49]
Steps up to 5.7f and should show moderate improvement by trainer methods.

6f Auction |
16/1 at Bath in a race with a solid pace. Tracked the pace by just over
2L and made an effort to move up to a moderate 2nd and plugged on as the
first two pulled away. Estimate [63]
Trainer's runner tend to show best rating STO. Unlikely to show progression.
