  • Owner bred and did not go to the sales.
  • By second season sire that made an acceptable start with the 2004 2yos. These included 5f winners out of stout dams for trainers that target 5f runs. However he did not have any runners until May 2nd and no winner until May 27 in 2004.
  • Sire has had a FTO winner and two poor runners so far in 2005. 
  • Dam was an average 6f 2yo winner. She has produced two moderate placed 2yos.
  • Trainer seems to target his better types at debuts at the major courses (Newbury, York, Newmarket & here) although he does not target debut wins now. Better types tend to be able to place in the tougher maidens. He has had 5 debuts in 2005 at these courses with two placed and three unplaced and overall not looking that ready to compete.
  • He has had one previous runner in t he race which was an ordinary maiden winner in the north STO.
  • K Fallon rides and this trainer is one of a group that he used to ride the best 2yos for before he went to Ballydoyle (M Bell was another).

  • Some support to 7/1 4th favourite at Goodwood in a race on rain softened ground which some fillies did not act on. Time for the race was moderate. Broke ok and settled midfield behind an average pace set by poor types. Moved off the rail after halfway to get a clear runs and moved forward as the leaders faded. Made good progress to keep on for second.  Estimate [62]
  • The trainer has run a variety of 2yos in maidens at the more important courses with varying results. The record of those that have run well on debut in their second runs in poor with three beaten at shorter prices. He has had a patchy record with early season debut runners in 2003-4 as well.
  • The fourth from the Goodwood race (who runs for a trainer who does not target strong debuts) won 2 days ago but the fifth has been beaten in a seller. So the form on debut was moderate and how she performs here depend on her progression - which cannot be guarateed on trainer's record. Difficult to place.  Profile [70]
