Racing Summary
DATE PROFILE/COMMENTS
March 27th:
Entered for
Musselburgh
5f Maiden
  • Cheap price but above bargain basement for DOC sales.
  • Reviewed at the sales and rated only 60 with a well below average chance of being competitive at 2yo.
  • Sire has average record with 2yos but can get early 5f winners, including on debut.
  • Dam was 5f winner and ok quality for this race. Produced one poor 2yo that cost ten times what this one did.
  • New trainer and no 2yo record. In general, new trainers get cheap 2yos ready on debut. Profile [45]
  • March 28th:
    Entered for
    Redcar 5f Maiden
  • Comments from Musselburgh entry still valid. Profile [45]
  • March 31st : Declared
    5f Conditions - Brocklesby
    at Doncaster
  • Did not run at Musselburgh of Edinburgh.
  • Comments still apply and not competitive in this stronger race. Profile [45]
  • April 12th: Declared
    Musselburgh 5f Auction
  • Ran below expectations in the Brocklesby but finished ahead of Boumsong & Bowland Boy (both run here) amongst the stragglers. Profile [45]
  • April 28th: Redcar
    5f Auction
  • Ran a poor race at Musselburgh and rating below here Doncaster run. The trainer finally got a better run out of Beautiful South on her third run yesterday (also declared here).  Profile [27 + 5 = 32]
  • May 10th: Musselburgh
    5f Auction
  • Trainer runs two in the race and both are on their 4TO runs. Both have shown some improvement on their 3TO runs and run much more prominently and pressing the pace. Previously they had been behind in races usually after slow starts.
  • This one was 25/1 and pressed the pacemaker by a neck at halfway. Still in 3rd coming to the last furlong but a strong fade from there and finished 7th. The 6th from that race was beaten in a claimer at Thirsk (probably not put into the race early enough by an apprentice). The 13th (Wednesday's Boy) was on debut and faded out of the race strongly in the final 2f. He ran 4 days later and finished closer to the probable favourite here (Bloodstocktv).  Estimate [51]
  • Probable a similar run here and rating at Redcar may have been slightly over-rated. Profile [50 + 3 =53]
