April 2nd: Declared
for Doncaster Auction |
Low price for Tattersalls (Ir) sales.
By First Season Sire that won over 6f in first half of its 2yo season.
Sire made good impression at sales and likely to get some early sprint
winners.
The sire has has made a good start with two winners from three runners.
One a minor winner with a runner that cost 800 gns the other with a type
that looked likely to come into his own over 7f and has already won over
5f. He has also had a solid 4th in the Brocklesby.
Dam showed 60s form for J Bolger as a 2yo in a short career. Has produced
a 60 rated 2yo who sold better than this one.
Trainer is notable for having his runners ready for early season debuts
and professional on debut. He has made a good start to 2005 with one win
and four places from 5 debuts so far.
Trainer won the race in 2002 with a 33/1 runner and has had minor later
winners unplaced in the last two runnings.
In summary an acceptable pedigree for the race but the sales price is a
worry. The approach and form of the trainer and the good start by the sire
are positives. Profile [51]
