6f Maiden Fillies' |
Made a solid price at the Tattersalls October Part 1 sales.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 66 with an average chance of being a 2yo
winner. Average size and heavily built. Notably lengthy .Short for her
size and did not look a speed type, ought to need 7f+.
Third season sire made excellent start in 2003 with 2yos with a lot of
winners and plenty of quality. 2004 was a real step back with less
runners and just 7 average to moderate winners. 2005 likely to be closer
to 2004 than 2003.
Sire ok for 5-6f and winners tend to be from May onwards but with a poor
debut win record before this year.
He has had two wins from 31 runs in 2005 (5-6f) and both have been
FTO.
Dam a winner at 2yo.
The trainer does not strongly target 2yo racing and has a moderate to average
record. Until 2003 debut runs tended to be competent and within 10lbs of
final rating. 2yos would improve on STO and then show little progress and
overall an unpredictable rating series.
In 2004 he seemed to have his runners readier on debut and assisted by
some better types got two FTO wins and a second place. The runners showed
the same variation in ratings after the highest level had been reached.
The four previous debuts in 2005 have been unplaced at 20/1+ SPs but two
have shown ability by finishing 5th in larger fields.
