Owner bred and did not go to the sales. R Hollinshead trained the dam and
most of the siblings for the owner breeder.
By minor sire who can get minor 2yo winners including over 5f. He has one
claiming level third from his two runners to date.
Dam showed moderate form in placing over sprint distances, including on
her 2yo debut for this trainer. She has produced two full brothers one
of whom has shown better form at 3yo+ after rating similarly as a placed
2yo.
Veteran trainer has an interesting record with 2yos. Backing all of his
debut runners in the last four seasons would have led to a large profit.
This is because he gets his 2yos fit and ready to compete on debut and
they usually run in suitable races. The stable does not appear to bet so
he regularly gets long priced winners and places with his better types.
The problem is spotting which are the better types among the many lesser
2yos unless you can be on-course. One clue is that the earliest debuts
tend to include more of the stronger debuts.
He has had two unplaced debuts in 2005.
In summary a pedigree which could produce a 70ish rated 2yo although his
two full brothers have been better at 3yo. Trainer has his 2yos fit and
professional on debut so the key to placing him is knowing what physical
type he is. The better of his two brothers finished second on debut at
20/1. The market will not be of any assistance. Profile [62]
