June 1st: Wolverhampton 6f Auction	Made a low price at the Tattersalls part 1 sales. By a first season sire with a mixed pedigree that showed 2yo form over 6f. Sire made a moderate impression with yearlings and many were small although often with better builds. Sire has had seven moderate debuts so far over 5f (one won STO at 100/1) and one ok at 6f. Dam was an above average 5f 2yo and has produced 6 sprint winners with her previous 6 foals. Second runner of the season for her trainer. This is an early start and he usually starts his 2yos in a batch in July. He had a group of June debuts in 2003 which were average winner types. The earliest runners in each season will include most of the winners. He assesses his 2yos at home before they run and will have a plan with most of them depending upon the ability they have. He does not not target strong debuts and gets occasional winners with better types that can rate 70+ FTO usually in weaker races. A shorter SP (less than 3/1) has been significant in the last two seasons. His first debut was a good second in a moderate fillies' race at Redcar yesterday. She travelled well but got tired in the last furlong. In summary almost certainly a poor physical type given the low price given the dam's good record. Unlikely to be a better type that the trainer wins FTO with. Profile [51 + 6 = 57]
