PROFILE/COMMENTS |
March 30th: Declared
Folkestone 5f Maiden |
Runs as the sole filly versus 6 colts.
Does not appear to have gone to the sales. Presumably because she is a
filly and the owner breeder wants to breed from her.
By underused sire with solid record with producing sprint 2yos from limited
opportunities, occasional with good quality. Fine for producing early 5f
2yos that can win on debut.
The sire has made a good start to 2005 with two debut wins from two runners
both for trainer B. R. Millman (one of his fans).
Dam was unraced but has produced one competitive sprint 2yo.
Trainer is notable for having his runners ready for early season debuts
and professional on debut. He had two winners yesterday with a debut runner
and and one running STO who had been a good second on debut.
In summary positives with the sire, dam and trainer for being run up to
close to her best here. However, no information on what physical type she
is so difficult to rate her. Profile [57]

March 30th: Folkestone
Post Race |
Was 11/2 joint third favourite and probably ran close to what she is. Trainer
will tend to run these fillies often in the season so their relative fitness
against other runners can gain minor wins but unlikely to rate 70+ on this
evidence. Estimate [51]

April 5th: Declared for
Folkestone 5f Maiden |
Runs 6 days after her debut here and again as the sole filly against colts.
Runs against two colts who finished behind her last time.
On trainer methods you would expect her to have been ready to perform close
to her best on debut. Unless there was an obvious reason for her underperforming
on debut then only minor improvement would be expected here. Profile

April 5th: Folkestone
Post Race |
Drifted from 5/4 to 13/8 favourite. Tracked the pacemaker and slightly
outpaced around halfway. Looked smaller than Magidene and Jaassey but showed
a good attitude to battle hard in the last furlong.
A low level of form and probably close to what she is capable of.
Estimate [60]
|
April 15th: Thirsk
Fillies' Novice |
Form of her Folkestone win looks worse now the 2nd and 3rd well beaten
since. Runs for a trainer who has runners close to final rating on debut
so probably little improvement here. Her attitude has been a positive.
Penalised 2lb for the Folkestone win. Profile [63 - 2 = 61]
|
April 23rd: Lingfield
5f Conditions |
Ran below her previous form at Thirsk and faded in the last furlong. Estimate
[41]
Trainer runs two here and this is the second string. Hasn't looked to have
a turn of speed and likely to find this race too quick and too good.

May 25th: Newmarket
5f Novice |
33/1 at Lingfield and as expected found the race too fast for her. Outpaced
from early in the race. Estimate [46]
Steps up to 6f but in another tough race and looks outclassed. Carries
a 3lb penalty but receives 10lb from the topweight. Profile [56 + 10
= 66]
