6f Maiden |
Made a lowish price at the Tattersalls Part 2 sales.
Sire now in his fourth season and made good impression in 2002 with his
first 2yos. After two ok seasons with less runners this season should see
him with more runners in recognition of the good start in 2002. He can
get early 5-6f types.
Sire has already had a two 5f winners and a good placer as well as a batch
of moderate 2yos. Both winners have been on debut.
Dam was a relatively cheap buy but showed useful 6f form at 2yo. No progress
to 3yo. Her first two foals have made no impact.
Trainer had poor season in 2004 and was not comparable to his previous
results and methods. Early runners are likely to be competitive for wins
in the season (along with occasional 'duff' one being got out of the way).
Debut runs are usually competent and better runners can place and win.
He has made a slow start to 2005 with the first three debuts moderate although
the latest have included better types and finished 4th & 5th.
In summary an ok pedigree for a moderate to average sprint 2yo. Unlikely
to be ready enough to compete on debut. Profile [54]
