June 20th: Windsor 6f Auction	Made a solid price at the Doncaster St Leger sales. Reviewed at the sales and rated 68 with an average chance of being competitive at his level. Medium size and above medium build. Notably short mover behind and this needed to improve for him to reach his potential. Rating seen as an 'at best'. By third season sire who made a good start in 2003 with 2yos including 6f winners. 2004 a poor follow up season (not unusual for new sire's records to falter in second and third seasons). Sire has had a seller winner in 2005. Older dam had only produced winners abroad until 2004 when a reasonably expensive breeze up buy proved to the be useful+ 6f 2yo. This one sold less well. Trainer has a poor to moderate record with 2yos and has produced 16 winners of 16 races from 115 2yos in the last 6 seasons and a low strike rate. This would not be good record with bargain basement 2yos but he has many more expensive types. Debuts are usually uncompetitive and at long SPs. They have been more competent in recent seasons and tend to rate in the 40-60 range. He has run two in 2005 who have made competent debuts and placed later but showing the usual in turning promise into wins. Trainer runs two on debut in the race with D. Holland (injured at Nottingham's afternoon meeting) booked for Crooner and S. Drowne on this one (drawn 7).
