May 7th: Newmarket
5f Maiden Fillies' |
Retained for poor price at the Tattersalls part 2 sales. Bred by the trainer.
By second season sire who made a good start with 2yos in 2004 with a solid
number of winners and notable for some good quality types. Got 5f winners
and runners tended to be better from May onwards.
Sire has had 5 poor runners so far in 2005.
Dam was a poor runner but stuck at it and won a maiden handicap off an
Official Rating of 39 with a 3lb apprentice, having been dropped back to
6f from 10f. There's a 'rosette for every pony' after all. Her 3 previous
foals have shown little.
Small stable and has a varying strategy with 2yos recently and appears
to have gone back to earlier season debuts this year. However, debut runs
are consistently well below final ratings.
This is her second runner of the season and the first was well beaten yesterday.
In summary very difficult to find something positive. Profile
