  • Made a lowish price at the Tattersalls part 2 sales.
  • Sire has a below average record with 2yos and his wins tend to come from July onwards. He also has a better record over 7f but does get 6f winners. He has had 7 unsuccessful runners over 5f in 2005 but had the FTO winner of the first 6f race of the season last week.
  • Old dam was a useful 6-7f 2yo but has a very patchy stud career and has only produced 3 winners. Two of those have been full siblings in recent years though. Both have needed middle distances and time to develop.
  • Trainer runs two in the race and they are his first 2yo runners of the year. This is a pretty typical start date. The other runner has R Hills riding for the Maktoum family while the normal stable jockey rides this one. 
  • He is notable as a 'Show FTO or nothing' type of trainer. He usually has his debut runners fit, professional and ready to perform to a high level within their ability and if they do not place, then they are probably moderate. 
  • In 2003 & 2004 his first runner of the season was a winner (15/8f & 5/1). His first five debuts in the last two years have produced 2 wins and 4 places from the ten 2yos. None of the four that were unplaced won that season. 
  • In summary ought to need more time and distance on pedigree and a surprise to see him out so early. Ought to be competent and ready enough on debut.  Profile [64]

    6f Auction
  • Goodwood meeting on the 19th was abandoned because of fog. Runs here 9 days later in an auction race and receives 3lb from the topweight. Trainer has had two debuts in the interim with a Maktoum owned second string fading to last and a 3rd place in a weak Lingfield auction with an L. Jones ridden Maktoum owner bred.  Profile [64 + 3 = 67]
