May 13th: Hamilton 6f Maiden	Made a low price at the Doncaster October sales. Reviewed at the sales and rated 62, , small and below average build. By a respectable but now little used sire whose record has deteriorated as the quality of mares he receives has declined. Capable of getting winners at 6f, including early season. Sire has had four debuts in 2005 with one show ok form. Dam showed 60ish form over four seasons racing although never won. Trainer had poor season in 2004 and was not comparable to his previous results and methods. Early runners are likely to be competitive for wins in the season (along with occasional 'duff' one being got out of the way). Debut runs are usually competent and better runners can place and win. He has made a slow start to 2005 and had only three poor runners plus a solid but inexperienced debut (who runs in a Listed race today). One was heavily backed on debut at Redcar and never looked capable of placing. In summary likely to be a 60s rater at best and below that on debut. Profile [54]
