April 23rd: Haydock 5f Maiden Fillies'	Made just above minimum price at cheaper Doncaster sales. Sire has reasonable record with 2yos although signs of it slightly declining after a very good start. Can produce early 5f winners but as a general rule they tend to develop and win from May onwards. He has had one minor 5f winner so far in 2005. Dam was unraced and has produced only one runner from five previous foals. This showed no worthwhile form. Small trainer has only had one 2yo runner in the period 2002-4. In summary a lot of obvious negatives and likely to be below her low 'best' level here. Profile [18]
May 27th: Catterick 5f Auction Fillies'	50/1 on debut with a 7lb apprentice in a good race for early season. Broke right and lost a length but followed an average pace by two lengths at halfway. Soon outpaced as the better fillies made efforts later in the race. Estimate [39] Debut run was on soft ground and relatively close to better fillies but need to be wary of treating that form literally. However, showed mor than expected. Profile [48 + 5 = 53]
