Retained for low price at Tattersalls cheaper sale.
By sire whose record with 2yos has deteriorated from 2002 onwards as he
has had less support. Can get 5f winners.
Dam was a 6f seller winner at 2yo attracting no bid. She has produced one
poor runner that was also retained at the sales.
Trainer's record with 2yos so far in 2005 is worrying - what is he doing
with them? Noted in 2004 that he had a moderate record with 2yos and seemed
to lack a sure touch with debuts.
In 2005 the debuts have all been awful. Six 2yos have made their debuts
and have beaten a total of two other runners and only one of them has achieved
a rating. They have all been ridden by a 7lb apprentice. They have included
runners that cost more than this one.
In summary a pedigree that could produce a modest winner. However you wouldn't
trust a debut runner for the trainer to be able to beat another runner

50/1 and showed a bad fade from halfway on soft ground on debut. Continued
his trainer's lamentable record with 2yos in 2005. Estimate [1]
No reason to expect notable improvement today. However, he does have a
senior jockey rather than the 7lb apprentice. Profile [22]

100/1 at Catterick and showed more life by breaking well and being pressed
to lead from after 1F to near halfway. A neck off the leader there but
faded badly from 2F out to finish last. Estimate [0]
Trainer's 2yos have all shown moderate or poor form and those with a hint
of ability have shown it STO in recent runs. THe more prominent run LTO
suggests that they were seeing whether there was any latent ability but
he showed none although a minor plus for showing some low level early pace.
