July 3rd: Brighton
7f Auction |
Made a low price at the Tattersalls October Part 1 sales. Owned by the
trainer who raced the dam for the breeder - P. Player (who was with the
trainer at the sales.
Reviewed at sales and rated 57 with a below average chance of being a 2yo
winner at this level. Small, below average build and physically immature.
He seemed to lack depth and scope to develop.
By a first season sire with a mixed pedigree that showed 2yo form over
6f. Sire made a moderate impression with yearlings and many were small
although often with better builds.
He has had 18 runners with 4 winners (one each at 5f, 5.7f, 6f, 7f). The
debuts have produced one win and two places. No runner has been rated 70+.
Dam unraced at 2yo and won over 10.5 on debut at 3yo.
Trainer does not target strong debuts and has had 11 debuts with one win
and two places.
June 18th: Made debut in a poor to moderate 7f auction at Lingfield
at 11/2. Tracked the pace and made an effort after halfway to second and
plugged on from there. Estimate [66]
Clear of the third FTO but that was a weak field and the rest of the field
would struggle to win a seller. Review of the time of his first race suggests
66 was an over-estimate and the winner won with some comfort. Sales review
suggests a 70+ type unlikely. This is the second STO run and the first
showed around 5-7lb improvement. Profile [61 + 4 = 65]
