Sire has below average record with 2yos. He has had a single 5f 2yo winner
in 5 seasons (which was Redback who took 3 goes to do it for R Hannon and
rated 25lb higher for winning a Group 3 over 7f later in the season). He
has had two runners over 5f in 2005 and the one that ran for trainer R
Millman competed reasonably well (but this trainer has had his 2yos much
readier than any other trainer in 2005).
Dam was by speed sire but did not make her debut until the August of her
3yo career over 8f.
Trainer used to get 2yos ready and professional on debut and better ones
could win. Normally enters runners in suitable races.
He has had his 2yos less ready in 2005 although he has probably had moderate
quality overall (his best 2yo in 2005 did win FTO).
Has the usual 5lb apprentice riding.
In summary not an obviously 5f pedigree and unlikely to be good enough
to compete with this group on debut. Trainer used to ensure that this type
of runner was professional on debut and would usually assist with the early
pacemaking. Profile [35]
