March 28th: Entered for
Warwick 5f
Maiden Fillies' (E) |
Sold for minimum selling price at TO2 sales.
Sire has ordinary 2yo record and does not get 5f winners, early winners,
nor debut winners. In the wrong race on sire profile.
Dam was unprecocious and slow.
New trainer made no impression with six moderate 2yos in 2004.
In summary presumably a poor physical specimen who has to run now whatever
the pedigree says. Of no interest. Profile [8]

March 28th :
Warwick Post Race |
Cheap at the sales and has a non 5f pedigree but this was such a slow race
it wasn't a 5f test.
Performed better than expected but wouldn't expect any particular improvement.
Was outpaced and well off the too quick pace and was plugging on in her
own time for a volunteer third. Estimate [44]

March 31st : Declared
5f Conditions - Brocklesby
at Doncaster |
Runs 3 days after debut. No improvement expected and not good enough to
compete in this race. Profile [44]

March 31st: Doncaster
Post Race |
16/1 here. Attracted some support on debut but didn't get into that race
which had a strong pace and kept on for third there. She travelled closer
here and again kept on solidly in the last furlong. The owners (Brooklands
Racing) run partnerships targeted at 2yo racing with cheap sales purchases.
They normally have their horses ready early and the best one is usually
chosen for this race. They had the third in 2003 with Bella Tutrice (with
a different owner).
Her pedigree suggests she needs further than 5f and her run style so far
seems to confirm this. Probably seen pretty much what she is capable of
and probably rate in the 60s at best but can improve a little for 6f.

May 6th: Nottingham
5f Maiden Fillies' |
In a normal season the 'Brocklesby third' would go and win whatever maiden
was chosen fairly soon afterwards. The quality of the Brocklesby overall
looks below average in 2005 and only one maiden winner has come out of
the race (the fourth who ran on the far side won a moderate maiden at Chester
2 days ago).
It's likely that we've already seen the best of her at 5f and where has
she been since the Brocklesby? In summary one to oppose despite her 'Brocklesby
third' billing. Profile [64]

May 10th: Yarmouth
6f Auction |
Gave trouble at the post at Nottingham. Dropped her jockey and ran loose
for 1f to the end of the 6f chute. Was caught there without too much trouble
and took part in the race.
Unlike her previous runs she was ridden close to the pace and was a length
behind the leaders at halfway. She was notably outpaced as the race quickened
2f out and showed a lengthy and high action in front. A slight fade late
on but just not quick enough and the antics before the race probably made
little difference. Estimate [55]
Steps up to 6f which should help. However, unlikely to show any improvement.
