6f Maiden Fillies' |
Made a good to high price at the Tattersalls sales and the upper end of
the trainer's range.
Reviewed at the sales and rated 64. Small, lengthy and short with a good
build. Needed to develop a lot & looked a 7f+ type.
Sire has a variable but better than average record with 2yos and they tend
to be better for 6f+ and development through the season. He has made a
good start to 2005 with four M Channon trained 5-5.3f wins.
Dam was a 12f winner and has produced on average winning 2yo that made
240k as a yearling, raced for Sheikh Mohammed and was sold off for 9k.
[And if you're ever feeling bad about your ability remember that the man
whose decision it was to buy that colt is still in his job and makes the
same mistake a goodly number of times a year and is considered a 'top expert'.
Welcome to the world of Bloodstock Agency.]
First debut of the year for an average 2yo trainer that made his name with
older horses on the AW. Until 2003 his record with getting the 2yos started
in early season was moderate and many earlier debuts were poor. The wins
tended to come from mid season.
In 2004 with a better group of 2yos he got a couple of debut wins with
Listed+ winners although all other debuts were unplaced.
In summary unlikely to be a useful+ type and more of a development debut.
