Does not target 2yo racing but has a few runners each season and nearly
all are owner bred. Notable for his success with and liking for horses
by the sire Komaite and for his AW runners (especially at Southwell).
-
Has horses competent on debut but most need their first run to improve
from to be at best level STO. Has only had two FTO wins in 7 years and
they were both in 2002. One of these was a 50/1 surprise (rating in 50s)
in weak fillies' maiden and the other was a useful runner who was at an
SP of only 11/1 on debut (most are 33/1 or higher).

Overall, the combination of having his horses competent FTO and fully ready
STO, running them in weak races and their SPs being longer than they often
should be means that he can have long-priced 'surprise' winners.
