March 15th :-
  • Entered for the first race of the season. Trainer has not had a British raced 2yo in the period 2001-5. The most expensive sales purchase in the race so if Mr Pitt is a new trainer he appears to have reasonable financial support.
  • Third season sire made moderate impression with first British raced 2yos in 2005 and no winner before July although he did get 5f winners.
  • Dam a useful sprint 2yo winning three races at 2yo including her 5f debut on June 1st and the 6f Goffs Sales race in August.

    April 3rd:-
  • Strongly backed on debut in second race of season at Lingfield at 11/10f. Produced a professional performance under JF Egan to break firsr from the inside stall and get the lead on the rail. He settled the pace after a furlong on the turn to the downhill section and the field bunched up behind him, he railed throughout and this was an advantage with wide runners well beaten (more than just running wide would explain). 
  • Went clear with Hephaestus in the straight and just beaten by that runner. A solid, if unexceptional time and a positive in his professionalism. He has a worse draw in 8 in this race so will need his quick break again.
  • Appears to have a leading chance in the race but the choice of a 7lb apprentice to ride is a little odd.
