- 1981 foal and cost $950,000 as a yearling. Owner bred by K. Abdulla and trained by J. Tree winning 6 races from 7f to 12f between 2yo to 4yo. As a juvenile successful in two from three starts in a 7f maiden on his Aug 26th debut and an 8f Conditions before being runner-up in the Dewhurst (to El Gran Senor). At 4yosuccessful in the 12f Group 1 pair of the Coronation Cup and the Prix de L'Arc (promoted from runner-up).
- To stud in 1985 and a very good record as a producer of high class middle distance types and stayers including Quest For Fame (Derby), Millenary (St. Leger), Nedawi (St. Leger), Knight's Baroness (Irish Oaks) along with occasional successes at shorter distances such as Spectrum (Irish 2,000 Guineas). Also gets examples of high class 2yo winners like Edabiya (7f Group 1) and Armiger (8f Group1).
- Below average record with relatively small sets of British raced 2yos in recent seasons in line with his reputation for getting middle distance types that need time to develop. Gets wins at 7f upwards and not before August in 2002-5. Recent winners have all been at maiden level although Charlie Cool was entered
for better races in 2005.
- 9 yearlings sold in 2006 for an average of 74,000 guineas.
