| Of the others none really appeal. Milton Bradley is a
less successful version of Evans & Turner with his approach to 2yo
racing and has his first runner of 2008 with Sharp Discovery. He's
another get them fit for debut and run them a lot type but has managed
just one win in the last 6 seasons from 41 horses. At some point we need
to sit down, perhaps with the Stubbs', Mr Bradley for a chat about strategy
& planning. [There you go, watch this thing be two lengths clear at
halfway and hold on in a photo at 66/1 after that.]

| While we're thinking about physical types and trainer's
preferences Milton Bradley likes some meat on them if he can afford it.
He often cannot so the ones he buys with some build will be peculiar shapes
and set-ups in many instances. Sharp Discovery would fit that model
and if you compare him to the filly Percy's Corismatic there's a lot more
of him. But he's another fat, dumpy, one and not neat to look at. He wasn't
fit or knowing enough here to make things worse. Mind you, when you are
dealing with a trainer whose one a single race with 41 x 2yo horses in
6 years you kind of stop worrying what they look like. They aren't going
to win anyway, to a very good approximation.

| Behind that were the two Milton Bradley fillies who both
show his liking for buying horses with some build and feeding them up.
The trainer is out of form and had his first winner for ages the day after
at Folkestone.
Sharp
Discovery looked plain unfit and the heavy build needs to be worked
on. She ran ok in that she was in third past halfway and didn't crack immediately
as the pace went up but the lack of fitness told and she faded badly. She
might be usable at a low level if she ever tightens up properly. But the
trainer's record means you should probably lose that thought.
