1999 foal, 16hh. Dam a minor winner and previous best runner had been Hong Kong Listed winner All The Way. Cost 26,000 guineas as a yearling, trained by T. G. Mills (also trained All The Way) for bookmaker J. Humphreys. Won 5 races at 7f-8f between 2yo to 3yo.
- Won three from six as a juvenile in a 7f Ascot Novice race on his July 14th debut, a 7f Novice at Salisbury and the 7f Group 3 Somerville Tattersall Stakes (from Della Francesca). Unplaced on his other three starts including when fourth in the 7f Group 1 Dewhurst (behind near dead-heating stablemates Rock Of Gibraltar, Landseer & Tendulkar).
- Ran 7 times at 3yo and appeared exposed as below top level when unplaced in his first four runs. These where all in Group 1 or 2 races including the 2000 Guineas (50/1) and the St James's Palace Stakes (66/1) over 8f. He appeared to stay the 10.4f distance in the Dante Stakes but ran moderately when tried over 12f in the Derby. Dropped back to 8f for his final three starts he won a listed race at Goodwood and then fourth in the Group 2 Celebration Mile at the same course (as 11/4f). Achieved his best result on his final run when winning the five runner Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.
- Placed at best from five starts at 4yo including when a distant second to Hawk Wing's freakish performance in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury. Bought by Cheveley Park Stud and stands at a 2007 fee of 6,000 guineas. 38 yearlings offered at major european yearling sales in 2007 with 29 selling on for a respectable average of nearly 23,000gns and median of 14,000gns. First season sire in 2007.
