SUMMARY

2Field race just off rail to bend then centre to far side on uphill straight. Centre of straight appear to be advantage at recent meetings when far rail is shortest path to line. Various theories including watering in dry spell affect far rail more. Better drainage on some strips where new drains have been installed, etc.
Bow Beaver set average pace until making an effort 2f out at the foot of the hill. 1st 4 at Hf within 2L of each other & finish in 1st 4 places. Bow Beaver go 2L clear & not threatened although Yeadon, a grafter, work hard to close to within 1L of him late on. Bow Beaver represent trainer who won the race in 2008 with US Bred breeze-up purchase as he is. Not as impressive as South Central who won Gp3 NTO. Solid debut from OR85+?
Yeadon settle for Jk after a bit free early & hang a little wide on RH bend to straight. Try to line but ability shown probably wht he is. Would appear to stay further now settles with this a drop to stiff 5f from f FTO.
Mercers Row smaller than BB but mild support. Travel like 2nd best horse at Hf with Yeadon still getting balanced. Some response to BB effort 2F out & 2nd until fading worst of front 4. Can rate higher if fitness problem for not staying.
SITSand not look in average condition, at best. Soon outpaced by effort 2F out & fade late on. No improvement from FTO.
Last 3 were 3.5L+ back at Hf & only CDream make any response in straight. But STO & low rating.
