SUMMARY

2Fast conditions & a faster time given limited quality 2yos. Suggests viewing horses that ran well as suited by Firm ground & perhaps think about those that failed in that context.
Appeared a lot of pace & experience drawn high but OTR & RCC held up & OTP not quick enough. This allowed Gasparilla to get to the rail after 1.5f & then MADave from box 1 to cut across her after 2f. The first 4 through halfway stalled together after a 2f out effort & no changes in their relative positions.
Midget 5L off lead at Hf. Prog to staller to be 1.5L back to last 1F. Looked a real trier & led late. No bid when offered at sales as 1yo & rare claimer run for money-rich trainer. Very well prepared for day & trainer has good FTO record. In on low weight & poor form but can improve a little.
Good runs by MAD & Gasparilla to run to typical form levels. OTR does not see 5f out on flat tracks & no chance here when a litle free early. Does not seem mentally strong either. RCC not progressing for new trainer.
MTR niggled along early & appeared to lack pace for race and faded early. Looked in good condition, fit & positive attitude before race. Unsuited by firm or regressing?
Some late progress from Menediva to stalled grop fromt 7L back at HF. Fizzy in prelims.
