2Halfway positions refer to Stands' & Far side groups separately. Difficult to line groups up relatively through race. Danzoe another 'improver' who ran much better after 'failing' at Newcastle. Runners on disadvantaged far side strip at that course often run better NTO. Conversely, apparent strong finishers up the Magic Carpet on the stands' side can often 'disappoint' next time. Crushing stepping up to 6f after pace & fading over 5f when not fit. Show pace here and fade. Track. Great Intrigue first runner from strong looking Newbury maiden and tes tof that form. The Newbury race had slow pace & not spread field out so suspect form although 1st three look strong profiles & some possible maiden winners behind. Difficult to judge GIntrigue effort here because fade early and one of a range of bad runs by JS Moore 2yos this week. Suggest stable has problem. What is going on with Pat Seamur? He has been held up in every race so far then made places easily late on when the jockey finally takes the stranglehold off or vaguely encouraged him. Either this is the most obvious Nursery set-up for his 4th outing (Nurseries start early in July) or the horse is 'tricky' in some way not obvious on Video pictures. |
