2Apparently solid time but presume fast conditions because race messy & not have the shape of a strong performance. Messy start & Cape D'Or set modest pace on rail early with PS outside. Slow starters able to get into group comfortably. Leading pair joined by THL & BS towards halfway & pace seemed to pick up & turn race into long 3F sprint. Apprentice on BS & Jk on THL press on after half & PS drop back while CD'or respond to make L-o-3 from rail. BS always offering to hang in & Jk drop whip towards final furlong & horse took opportunity of concentration slip to hang left. CD'or had to pull back on rail as cut-off. BS hang futher & THL squeezed out on rail. Jk finally drag BS back right but momentum gone. This nonsense allowed ExWarr. to move to lead with clear run outside. At 1.5L at Hf & make effort with Lo3. Others never really dropped & field not well spread at finish. Race to e wary off until quality proved. ExWarr short & heavy Dubawi & very green FTO. More nous here. OR75? CD'Or for trainer who who normally runs OR75 in race. Ok promise & bigger type. THL medium at most & hanging before hampered. WD when too fizzy at WDSR. Check temperament. BS look mentally young. Improve STO but prob just OR70s. ODei bigger type & outpaced & look too slow for this race shape. Ran on better strip at NEWC FTO & form poss over-rated. GL just average promise in suspect race & progress late towards baulked set. PS smaller type & perhaps OR68. |
