SUMMARY
2Field race stands' rail. Solid pace with Whippers Love crossing to rail & running feely until headed to halfway by winner. 1st 4 at Hf within 1.5L with Benrish 5L back after running green and/or struggling with pace set. JG never get going & 10L back.
Ghostwing first run for new Stable & owner seems to have moved 2yos away from Anne Duffield. Had form to win this & physical scope to develop from solid FTO run. Won comfortably but little test here. Check how he develops given mixed record with STO runs by trainer's 2yos.
Ask Frank first 2yo runner for stable who has had more juveniles in recent years. Debuts normally uncompetitive but has go FTO wins recently. Travelled very well through race & seemed to be going better than the winner 2f out but went to fading very quickly. Problem or just lacking fitness?
Benrish finish looks suspect promise trundling past dead horses having failed to keep up earlier in race.
Odd to think that Whippers Love was punted down to second favourite for the Brocklesby. What could he have shown at home to make a run in the race worthwhile let alone anyone wanting to bet on him? Runs freely and fades now having failed to get going & keep balanced first two runs.
