SUMMARY

2Market very informative. Identified the winner & ok run by 6th at longer opening odds, also that Toga Tiger was ok but not superior to overcome Draw 16. Better still it said clearly that QParrot & DofGerontius not competitive. Both were given Quiet Rides
No hiding place. 3 x bottomweight fillies form up in Lo3 early and set strong pace. This put pressure on midfield types from before halfway and left green and/or poor types strung out over 12L+. Difficult race for a 2yo to rate to their best in withpacemakers fading a lot, no cover for spread & niggled midfield and jockeys mostly accepting 'Not Today' for the stragglers.
The bulkier Avonvalley wore down the small FCnxtn & MGibbs before 2F out and went on. The pace left her stalled into the last furlong. TTiger made a mid-race move & also stalled at same point. RCross prob helped by being cut-up on rail after 2F and dropped him a little out of the pace war. Made ground easily to the faders & stallers and went clear. Rest of 5-8th through Halfway close up to be 4-6th. AvonRiv ridden hardest of stragglers.
Winner made to look better by race shape but won easily & rate higher. A'valley BoPc & better off Ave Pace. TTiger solid promise. Ok promise 5-6th at low level. Stargaze not 5f?
