SUMMARY

2Ridiculously slow pace and a dreadful final time of 64s. Range for all races since Dec for 5f at KTNA range from 59.43 to 61.77s with Star Rover doing 61.21s 6 weeks ago. 7 x 2yo races in 2008 range 59.51 to 62.01s for the earliest one.
DoG led rail early & allow stablemate ARiv to cross in front on him. PD/Knight/RC/MTM all lose gound at start in different ways. Knight. held back to last off the pack early in poor Jk move.
Jk on ARiv slow pace greatly to bend & field stack up behind with PD, RC & Knigh. all progressing and getting hung wide with the latter then pulling & restrained to confuse the horse further (Stop or go?).
ARiver allowed to trundle until 1.5F out to turn the race into a short sprint. He was best placed for this and won after PD briefly threatened. RC & Knight. some forward progress wide before fading late. PD more progress and less fade late but Jk eased as winner gone. DoG & MTM outpaced by this spurt & plug on to find themselves on back of faders.
ARiv look ok build and can tighten & Ok OR75+. PD 1st trainer runner & so-so Market support. Ok promise in difficult race & solid type. Knight. a short, lengthy & powerful. Ok promise. RC a trainer medium type & mid OR70s prob. Wary of DoG 'Promise'. MTM too small.
