SUMMARY

2Officially GF but times on day on straight course not quick despite Group races on Card. Possibly a headwind but 4mm of watering overnight after Dettori threatened Kite Wood would not run on fast ground. Day not as warm and sunny as forecast & times suggest GGF, say.
Hard race to rate with time close to the 7f times for the Group 2 race and older horse Handicap. Both those races seemed to fall apart after strong paces and probably not produce strong times. But, even with that factored in this may well be a very strong performance.
No pace early and two groups with LG leading Azmeel Centre-FrSd & FW leading other 3 in centre. LG always held and FW pull to lead after 1F to put an average pace on after a dawdle early. Azmeel move up to join LG -2.5f and pair take over. SB & Pract. switch over to join them. Field then drift together and all runners drift towards stands rail indise 1.5f out.
