2Difficult race to summarise. Profile suggest a moderate (low OR70s for winner) race unless Candleshoe a good type & Hannon STO improver & Blue Sparkle a better Perrett FTO for usable 2yo. Perrett stable getting going again after down period & BSparkle probably would have made earlier debut. With that set up it produced the fastest 6f of the season but the pacemakers held up well and those on the rail near the front keeping on best. Field spread out notably from the start with the leading line spread out across the track to well past halfway. Those racing centre faded most. Note that the rail was out by 10yds for the whole length of the 6f so the rail runners were running towards, normal, centre track. Is the race distance correct with that configuration? In The Slips & NDLRosa both expected to produce negative ratings and long SPs which makes whole rating suspect for race but what about the fast time? Strong tailwind? Rating a middling attempt and check how it works out remembering it does not really fit with the overall profile. |
