SUMMARY

2Very fast conditions on first two days of Ebor Meeting and at least 4 course records broken. A VERY strong tailwind today to add to the fast going. All aged course record broken in the Gimcrack earlier on the day.
Fast time here and best recent times go back to the 2005 season. Masta Plasta ran 57.56s in the Norfolk Stakes that year with 2lbs less. Tabaret ran 57.88s in the equivalent race with 3lbs less. Kingsgate Native ran 58.14s with 13lbs less in the 2007 Nunthorpe Stakes.
Star Rover carved a couple up breaking right-handed and then hampered Mister Manannan crossing to the rail too early. This 2L+ gained proved crucial with pace holding up well in the conditions.
