SUMMARY

2Strong headwind. Pacemakers mostly fade and the reliable Transfixed ran well to cross to the rail from a high draw, led at Hf & hang on for 3rd. Others in 1st four were 6th, 5th & 8th through halfway.
Tiny Little Perc press on early to lead going freely & faded before halfway. Transfixed took over with SCamp travelling best alongside & Boga in 6th 2 lengths back & niggled along with Kate Skate just ahead.
SCamp led 1.5F out but has looked a short runner in previous runs & proved it here. Headed a furlong out & collapse late on to lose 3 places. True Red held up more but fade back later in race but never crack in SCamp style & blocked a bit in final furlong when trundling on.
Kate Skate held up & led into the last 1f. Faded late and the slightly bulkier Boga plug on past. Winner looked to be staying on having struggled a bit for pace & probably not entirely co-operative. She can presumably improve a little but no great promise.
SCamp has lost 4 places later on in each race now & might win later in season if he can stay 5f.
Bathwick Gino made 4 places late and ran an inexperienced race until staying on. Hung from the rail to centre track as he did so. Trainer in poor 2yo form for 2 years but check NTO.
