SUMMARY

Similar to Doncaster with Archers Road well away and setting a stiff pace. Pressed by Here Now And Why at halfway when 6 of the field were within 2.5L and two others just behind and held off the pace. The pace started to break the field up on the uphill section to the final 2f where ARoad went 1.5L clear. He stalled in the final furlong (again) and HNAW plugs on to go clear with him. The pace was strong enough to spread the field out by ability and readiness with 5 bad faders incl Farmer Giles who did not look well balanced on the track. The 3rd/4th faded less badly and filled the gap between the 1st two small & ready 2yos and the bad faders. Both from notable 'Fit FTO' trainers. Jack My Boy perhaps not full 5f & more scope than ave for the trainer.
