SUMMARY

2Little bit of early pace for horses to get position but with a lot of the field held or unable to get involved this resolved early. Pace settled for most of race and then a sprint in the straight. The Halfway and final positions show modest changes & look to tell the story of a race which spread out the abilities in the straight.
With that background the distance the field were spread over at the finish, given the last horse at Halfway was only 7L back, seems remarkable. Few real faders (JB & RoE) and speed test. Given that the first two pulled a long way clear and perhaps better types than rating suggest? (held down by average race pace). Or pulling away from OR70s back to real garbage? Togiak fulfilled debut promise but this looked a better effort by Navy List (real improvement?).
Two Hamdan runners given different rides in the straight. Smaller Udabaa hard pressed to make what ground he could and readier type. Supported Sharaayeen asked for a brief effort and then allowed to coast home by Jk Hills (who would vie with Spencer for being happy with 'Nice Intros' for STO). Looks a good type and should improve notably STO while you would not be sure Udabaa was one to count on improving a great deal.
