SUMMARY

2Heavy rain in morning and showers during the meeting with ground changing from GGS to GS after race 5. Difficult ground conditions for green 2yos in various fitness states.
MPlaya looked to set a just above average pace and then increase pace for last furlongs. Whole field within 2 lengths at halfway except for Kurtanella held just at back. She made smooth progres to challenge MPlaya into final furlong and just get better of duel. This pair outpace others to various degrees.
Kurtanella a good size and show some change of pace here and can improve further. Ailsa Carmel a review positive depite he shortness and strong & lengthy. Free going early & lose least ground when front two kick. Still responding to line & can rate OR80+. Guesswork not look a 5f type and ran ok with promise for development over 6f+. Astarta tall, leggy & narrow but has size advantage at present. Fly Silca Fly much less professional & settled than stablemate ACarmel and ridden to learn to settle.
More Lashes a negative and look a little one with a 'mouse' attitude. Not obvious what the $125,000 was for.
