SUMMARY

2Heavy Rain on Day after long dry period. Going changed from GFF to G before the race preceding this one.
Meeting started with 4 x 5f races (last 3 for 2yos) and racing prominently near the Far Rail a big advantage. All three 2yo races saw very little change from halfway and closers absent. The 7f race for 2yos saw the same race shape. The first 4 to the bend remained in the same places to the finish.
Times not slow considering the quality of horses and the going change probably a reaction to the divots being thrown up. Very likely that the rain had only softened the top inch or so and the horses running on firmer going and kicking a thin skin of softer going off without slowing them up much.
