BACKGROUND NOTES :-
  • $450,000 yearling owned by M. Tabor and trained by AP O'Brien. Only raced at 2yo and won all 5 races between 5-6f  - 5f maiden & Listed 5f Marble Hill in Ireland by May 22nd, then the 6f Group 3 Coventry at Royal Ascot, the 6f Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and finally the 6f Group 1 Prix Morny.
  • To stud in 2000 and had a very good first season in 2003 in terms of 2yo winners and quality. The 2003 crop included British winners - 6f Group 1 Carry On Katie, 5f Group 3 Russian Valour, 7f Group 3 Kings Point, 5f Listed Needles And Pins and 8f Listed Sgt Pepper along with the 5f Group placed China Eyes and Fast Heart. None of this group won any sort of race at 3yo. That 2003 crop also included the French 5.5f Group 2 winner Much Faster.
  • The 2004-5 crops in Britain have seen decreased returns in every area, for example less runners, less winners to runners and lower strike rates. These two seasons have also seen less quality and no winner at better than maiden/nursery level. In 2005 he had 18 representatives that cost more than 40,000gns at the sales and this set produced two ordinary winners. The only Group winner since the first season has been the French sprinter Chineur.
  • A large total of 65 yearlings sold in 2005 for an average just above 22,000gns. 2006 will be an important season to see how this large group performs both in terms of quantity and quality of 2yo winners. So far the indications are that with help he can produce useful, sprint 2yos but they do not develop and he also produces a large percentage of moderate types. Gets winners at 5-6f mainly from May onwards and best record in July-August in each season 2003-5.
  • Just an average return in 2006 although better than 2005 with 11 winners from 33 runners at a solid 12.7% strike rate. No truly better class runner although useful form shown by Cav Okay, Everymanforhimself & Karayel. 46 yearlings sold for an average over 61,000 guineas and probably an indication of the better quality of mares he got after his good first season results.
  • 2005 to 2008 Winners List.
  • 2yo Runners Pictures.
