BACKGROUND NOTES :-

Owner bred by Sheikh Mohammed and trained by DR Loder winning three races over 6f, all at 2yo. Successful in first three outings at 2yo with maiden on July 18th, Novice on Sept 3rd then the Group 1 Middle Park (from Bertolini), unplaced in 7f Grop 1 Dewhurst on only later run. Unplaced in two all-aged 5f-6f Group races in first half of 3yo season then retired.
To stud in 2001 and a third season sire in 2006. Average record with two, relatively large, first crops. Gets winners at 5f to 7f from May onwards and a better strike rate at 5f. Most winners at moderate to average level with 6f Group 3 winner Mixed Blessing (assisted by K Fallon rail hugging ride) his best result. Notable for getting a solid proportion of bigger, slightly narrow & immature looking types which may improve from July (while his own race record would suggest he would get medium sized, 'ready' 2yos).
27 yearlings sold in 2005 for an average just above 8,000gns. Below average results with six sprint winners, maiden level at best, in 2006. 27 yearlings sold in 2006 for the usual 8,000 average.
