- Mixed record with 2yos since having his licence returned in 2003 having been a disqualified person and been placed on the forfeit list. Trained at Southwell Racecourse initially before moving to Newport in Gwent and then the Lambourn in 2005. Until 2007 the wins had tended to be from his best 2yos and on their early runs. His better 2yos have often been ready to produce clear wins on debut (e.g. Red Power, Overstayed & Baby Strange) and in general his debut runners are more 'taut' behaviourally than the average (sweating. on their toes, etc.).
- Six of his twenty individual winners 2003-7 have won FTO. The wins after 3TO are typically with better runners winning again or with 2yos that made very early debuts and come back after a break.
- Closed his yard in June 2007 for several weeks to resolve issues with his horse's not finishing off their races properly.
- Banned again and had his training licence removed late in the 2008 turf season for his part in laying horses to lose. The majority of his horses have moved in one block through a number of yards before settling at Roger Curtis' stables. Mr Blockley has reportedly been seen walking his dog near the gallops of that yard of a morning. Purely recreational, of course and much appreciated by the dog although Mr Blockley is not really built for long walks.
