- Assistant to G. Wragg for 7 years before working for J. A. Glover and took over at his Worksop yard when that trainer retired. Made news in early 2008 partly for his outburst over having a fine under the non-triers' rule with Black Oval. Threatened to hand in his licence if the fine wasn't rescinded on appeal. Offered and took the position as salaried trainer for footballer agent W. A. Mackay at that owner's yard before the appeal was heard (he was ultimatlely cleared). The owner has already had trainers T. J. Pitt & D. J. Murphy in place at the yard in the last two years before they have left.
