Rail out by 10yds? for first 5f so slower times on day. Pace too strong and set race up for closers, Advantage of racing on rail back in force. AP 4-5L off lead at halfway having been a little slow to get going from good draw because green. Lexington Bay miss break wide and 7-8L off lead on rail. Mark up Alfraamsey for doing best of those closer to the lead (2L+ off lead at Halfway) and racing in Lanes 2-3 off rail for much of race including a 3 Wide effort before halfway. Tamareen travel through race like best horse but that seemed to draw the jockey into going forward and sitting just off the forcing leaders (TBM & RB). Less than a neck off lead at halfway and racing in Lane 1 off rail. TBM had settled the pace down having been 3L clear after 2F and then responded when Tamreen joined him. This forced Tamaraeen into racing in Lane 2 to try to get round him. Despite travelling well Tam. took until the 1F out pole to get in front of TBM and then hung left. Just and average response when balanced and fading out of 2nd late on. APinot an expensive breeze-up purchase for trainer who now does get FTO winners. Video of his breeze very positive showing a typical bulky Dubawi showing pace and control. In that context the support here no surprise as trainer used to train near course before move to Newmarket and often sends his better ones here. Well drawn but unable to use that because took time to get going after an ok break. This worked in his favour as he settled off the pace and on the rail while Tamareen was chasing the pace and Alfraamsey was making efforts into the pace racing wide. Made ground comfortably on rail to 1F out as TBM & Tamareen roll away from it as they duelled. Go 2L clear and keep on to line. Lexington Bay too green to get involved and off the back early. But raced on the rail able to close up to the leading three in the final 1F. Look solid type and ok for future. In general a race to feel positive about the front 4 who all seem OR80+ and can compete well going forward. AAE distressed after race and racing delayed while he was attended to. Reported that he was tranquilised as part of the treatment. |
