SUMMARY

Field race Centre to Stands. Average pace at best.
Halfway positions versus final placings show an unsual effort by Sonning Rose. Field spread over just undr 8L at halfway with SR at over 6L back. SSands & Roman Dancer both get into front rank by pulling and not settling and both fade more than average of leading group. First 5-6 clear of pack at finish made up of 4 who were within 1.5L of lead at halfway plus MConquest who was 3.5L back and made solid effort to challenge inside the last 1F. Sonning Rose come from further back and make strong finish in centre track late on. Still 5th less than 50yds from line. Nothing else much progress from similar positions behind although on Profile none of those real candidates for strong debuts.
