Another 5f open maiden with a small field (another 4 runer field in two days time at Nottingham) and bias against minimum distance showing. Moderate field unless LR or LLM any good. Both Breeze-up purchases by Kyllachy with LR notably more expensive. Watch the videos of the two of them doing a 2F breeze before their sales and LLM seem much readier and more competent. Smaller but running absolutely straight and to orders. LR a bulkier sort and less neatly made and still looks to be learning to get his legs to work in the proper rotation. Paddock Review here showed LR to look fat and not fit enough. Partly because of his barrel build but not ready to win. CQ too small and Zar. a smaller OR60s type. Zarazar allowed to set a slow pace and a slow overall time so moderate to poor expressed form. LLM able to outpace Zar. ok and LR manage to haul himself past through being more powerful before stalling late and Zar. getting back pat him. Trainer Chapple-Hyam interviewed after race and said his 2yos were finally starting to come right after problems with Ringworm and other ailments. He thought this did not take much winning but thought LLM had done it comfortably enough once he got a gap on the stands' rail (a Magic Carpet strip there to some extent). |
